Bondage

We allow bondage in our lives so often without even realize it.

Bondage is like a car in neutral, chained to you, that you are dragging along with you everywhere you go. Think about that. How far do you think you are going to be able to go with that massive load holding you back? I can tell you; definitely not as far as God designed for you to go.

It would be good to severe the chains that hold you back—that keep you bound. Then at least you’d be able to walk, unhindered toward the goal for which your life was designed.

But even better would be if you got into the car, taking the very thing that was your bondage, and drive it full speed toward your destination.

Too often we complain about and criticize the circumstances in which we find ourselves, but in reality, these situations—the very state of affairs we think were sent to destroy us—are nothing more than opportunities for God’s glory to shine through our lives, propelling us closer to the goals He created us to accomplish.

So, let us rethink and reevaluate each “obstacle” we face, for God promised us not that we would never find hardship, but that He would never allow more on us than we are able to bear. We must change our perception, realizing that we were designed specifically for everything we face.
